Safeguarding Policy

Our Commitment
At Favours Services Limited, the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people we support is our absolute priority. We believe that every child has the right to be protected from harm and to feel safe while learning. We have a robust safeguarding culture that ensures all staff and tutors are aware of their responsibilities.
Staff Vetting & DBS
Every tutor and staff member at Favours Services Limited undergoes a rigorous recruitment process, which includes:
- Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks
- Verification of educational qualifications
- Reference checks from previous employers
- Identity and right-to-work verification
Safeguarding Training
All our tutors receive regular safeguarding and child protection training. This ensures they are able to recognise signs of abuse, understand how to respond appropriately, and know how to report concerns following our internal procedures and local authority guidelines.
Safe Learning Environment
Whether tutoring takes place online or in person, we maintain strict safety protocols:
- For in-person tutoring at home, a parent or guardian must always be present in the house
- Online sessions are conducted through secure platforms and may be recorded for quality and safety monitoring
- Tutors maintain professional boundaries at all times and communicate with students primarily through parents/guardians
Reporting Procedures
We have a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) who is responsible for handling any safeguarding concerns. If a concern is raised, we act immediately in accordance with our procedures and, where necessary, report the matter to the relevant Social Services or the Police.
